Redwood Warranty
Does anyone have a PDF of the Redwood 2+5 Warranty that you would be will to share. I am about to buy a unit from a private party and would like to know the particulars of the factory warranty.
Thanks.

Caution: Unless I am mistaken, the warranty is not transferable after first owner!! I think this is a big negative for Redwood and they need to change it. Make sure you check on this!! You can easily buy an extended type warranty (service policy) from a third party. They aren't too bad in price in my opinion.

I think(not 100% sure) that most all manufacturer's warranties won't transfer to another owner.

Thanks for the response. That is why I would like a copy of the 2+5 warranty to confirm this. As this is my first time into the RV arena it has astounded me to hear that a manufacturer of such a high-end unit will not stand behind it within the warranty period.
I do not seriously think that is indicative of the quality of the unit. What I am afraid of is that it does speak volumes of is the way manufacturer looks after his clientele whether they bought new, nearly new, or used. We are all ultimately potential return buyers.

Well folks I think what I have been told has been confirmed. Fortunately there is an extended warranty. I like building a relationship with the folks who built my unit whether it is an RV, automobile, truck or whatever. I guess this does tell the end user where he stands in the manufacturers eyes. I really like the Redwood product and time will tell me if the manufacturer is worth a hoot.

Next question - Has anyone had to deal with Thor/Crossroads/ or whoever on a used unit basis and were they helpful and did they cooperate in helping to solve issues. Again as a newby these kinds of things are concerns. Being able to receive help on such a complicated combination of systems is very important to me and the manufacturer can go a long way in coming to a successful solution of a problem whether it is a warranty issue or not.

Not sure, but I would think even with a third party extended warranty that RW would have to approve any major repairs, if that's the case you should not have any problems. From my limited experience, RW has been fantastic to deal with, sometimes slow to respond, but always cooperative.

I can tell you that as new owners (3 months) the few dealings that I have had with RW have been outstanding. Our dealership actually told me that they didn't think they would cover an item under warranty and encouraged me to call RW. I did, and they didn't even hesitate to cover it. I know there are other stories out there, but I hear just as many positive ones. Good luck. I think you are on the right track.

My Sister has a 2009? 40+' Tiffin Allegro Phaeton and they are the third owners I believe...
They called the factory about some issues and Tiffin said come on down to Red Bay, Alabama and we'll take care of you !!
The ONLY issue is that one of them must stay with the coach @ their campground. My Bro-in-law is retired so he's on a Boy trip at the end of summer !

That's true but I've talked with several people that were 2nd and 3rd owners that had their problems resolved at no cost. That's Bob Tiffin

The warranty is good only for the original owner...If you want I'm pretty sure you can buy a warranty but shop around because they do try to charge alot and can be talked down in price...If you wanty to see the warranty information go to a RW dealer and ask him to make a copy from a new Rw owner's guide packet .. Te information is tabl of contents under introduction probably page 3

Competitor to Redwood, Lifestyle has a 5 year limited structural warranty and a 1 year bumper to bumper warranty. Cameo and Carriage, by Thor is said to have 'a full 2 year residential warranty'

Since I was considering buying a Tiffin I've had a chance to talk with several of their owners. It's true Bob stands behind his product but I was talking to a guy who had a 2014 bus and he was in the service center for 7 weeks straight. If he had left....he'd loose his place in line. The bus was 3 weeks old when he went there. NO THANKS
