Ha Ha - knew it wouldn't be long
but like stated - it depends !
after our trip this weekend, must have pushed the wrong button in the mh when storing it...
went back the next day to get something out of it and I THINK the freezer said -15 degrees
shut it down this time and opened the doors to thaw out !
And Dave our two door fridge does have a neat lock, the mobile tech we had check the rv out actually took pics of it so he could source it since it works so well and so simply.

Dave
Found another great use for Jack Daniels... the box anyway.
Put our small bedroom fan in a JD box and duct taped it to the upper vent to pull air up the enclosure wall and out... works great.
Took some pix of this McIver'd unit. Hope it helps till I get it really fixed next week when at the Rally.
See you then.

Dave...........you must have me mixed up with some other inventor. I still have my Dometic RV refrigerator in my 2012 36RL. Other than the freezer not getting as cold as I would like (about 10*F is the coldest), it has served us well for 3 1/2 years.

I was the one who replaced the Dometic in our 2012 36RL. Went in real easy. Took out the shelf it sat on and the drawer and slid the new one in. My wife stained and installed some trim that is extremely close to the original trim in the unit, but I don't have pictures of that part. When slide comes in there is about 1/2" of gap between door and island. When traveling, we put the dogs memory foam bed in between to keep from moving and denting. No issues yet. Eventually installed an inverter to keep it running when traveling. Added benefit is that the entertainment circuit also runs off of the inverter now. Unfortunately, so does the receptacle next to the fridge and the one in the pantry. Because of the load, we don't use those 2 receptacles anymore.

Homeguy,
Just for future reference, what brand and model refrigerator did you install? Did you seal the outside vents? Your install looks very good.

We used what RW was using at the time, Samsung RF197AC. We did seal the vents on the outside using aluminum on the inside. To access the back of the fridge, I just take off the panel and slide the aluminum piece either up or out depending what I am doing.

I personally think there's a serious problem here.......why is this man having to open the fridg to get HIS OWN BEER. His poor wife must be ill or otherwise indisposed.
