Just got off the phone with the local Redwood dealer. They have been a RW dealer since the beginning. I was going to order some of the Alpha sealant . They asked me why I wanted to order it and not use Dicor. They have only used Dicor in resealing RW's.

Same feedback from my Dealer on all types of sealant. It's weird that WE know what Redwood recommends, but the Dealers don't have a clue. Probably because they never asked Redwood.

When I was getting ready to reseal my unit I called Alpha concerning the caulk to use. I was told by them that is was alright to use the dicor.

These manufactors of products will always try and sell their own products. It depends who you get on the other end of the phone as to what answer you get. A friend of mine took his new dodge dually in to get his gas tank replaced with a new 65 gallon tank. He drove it to the shop on fumes which was common sense. The receptionist told him they wanted the tank full. He left and filled the tank full of diesel. When the poor bugger doing the Install found out he hit the roof.
