Has anyone herd anything about Rhino Linings for RV roofs? They have it in a advertisement in Jan 2013 Trailer Life on page 21. I went to the web site (www.rhinolinings.com) and it sounds like the way to go.

Sounds like it's new and only three installation facilities, Texas, Arizona, and Manitoba. But who knows, maybe by the time we might be thinking about doing something to the roof it will have been around for a while and maybe more places doing it.

I don't believe the Redwood roofs are rubber, instead they arevinyl. Keep them clean and they should last a long time.

Jack, you're correct and the care instructions for it state to:

Periodic cleaning (three to four times per year) is
the primary maintenance required. </span>Alpha
Systems recommends using a non-abrasive household cleaner, such as Top Job or
Spic-N-Span, and a medium-bristled scrub brush.
</span>Do not use any harsh or highly-abrasive products during cleaning. </span>When finished cleaning, remember to thoroughly rinse the roof and
sidewalls in order to remove any soap residue and to prevent streaking. </span></span><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;">CARE
SHOULD BE EXERCISED WHEN WORKING ON TOP OF YOUR UNIT! </span>THE ROOF MAY BECOME SLIPPERY WHEN WET.
[/b]
<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /></span>

</span></span>

<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;">DO NOT USE
ACETONE, OR ANY OTHER PRODUCTS CONTAINING PETROLEUM DISTILLATES, ON THE ALPHA
SYSTEMS ROOF MEMBRANE. </span>USE OF THESE
PRODUCTS WILL DAMAGE THE MEMBRANE.</span>[/b]

The "Alpha" roof is a hybrid combination of rubber and vinyl. It will not give you the black streaks that the rubber roof does.

Affirmative, the roofs are not rubber. Prior to purchasing our coach I noted the website mentions an Alpha ply roof manufactured by Alpha Systems. As we were expecting a rubber roof I checked their website, it is a textured polymer weighing half that of rubber.

Major benefit is no chaulking from UV.

I talked to a guy who re-roofs RVs at a repair shop. He said that he thinks this is the best type of roof there is.
