RV Insurance

My DW is shopping around for RV insurance. Does anyone have insurance that provides full replacement coverage? If so, what company are you using? Thanks

We had Good Sam (National General) with replacement coverage when we had the Redwood. You qualify within the first two years, then its not available.

We have National Interstate, which we got through Americas Mailbox. They have full replacement and they will cover contents in your unit. I believe you can contact National Interstate and request information on available sales partners, if you did not want to go through Americas Mailbox. National Interstate does not provide policy writing services.

Would you happen to have a phone number for them. Thanks

We changed to Blue Sky Insurance recently we had (Good Sam until then, full replacement) the interesting thing about Blue Sky is, the value of replacement goes up each year, I believe it is for five years, each year it goes up. It was more cost effective than Good Sam. The first year Good Sam had a good rate ( that means it is still very expensive for replacement insurance) then it went way up the second year. I am still conflicted about paying for replacement insurance, just sayin......Note they only offer this insurance in a limited number of states, there #866-484-2583

Had Nationwide last year, they submitted a renewal that was over $300 more for this next year. Got a quote from Safeco, which is very reasonable. However, replacement is "agreed value" which is the price we paid when we bought it in 10/13. No roadside assist. Still mulling over it.

Tried to call Peyton Manning and complain about the Nationwide increase but he would not take my call.

We have had Progressive on our RV's since 2006 and we did make a few claims for windshields in the MH and it was handled quick an easy with no money out of my pocket. As stated above it's "agreed value" witch was explained to me that they will pay pretty much what the book value is if a total loss. We did have a backup policy when we were making those wonderful payments to protect us if it was worth less then what we owed if a total loss.

We have Safeco for the TV and price is OK.

I checked with a few insurance companies in FL for when I finalize our address change and Allstate seemed OK on the TV but a bit high on the RW. Progressive with the FL. address was the other way around

Interesting how the price changes in different states?

Steve

From past experience I'd have to pass on All state, you're in good hands til after your first claim. They don't mind taking your $$$, but hate to pay it out.
We've had State Farm on everything for years & are satisfied with everything but the price, but that's insurance.

You might try calling Miller Insurance in Oregon. They specialize in RV insurance and I am very pleased with our rate and coverage. Since this is our home we needed the equivalent of a homeowners policy and they shopped for the best bargain they could find. They changed our company when we traded the Montana for the RW because they found better rates. Very professional - but have not had to use them yet

RV insurance

We had Allied, a division of Nationwide which had full replacement value, I believe up to 5 years and diminishing deductible. Peyton didn't answer my call either! As of 2016-17, Allied will no longer provide insurance for RV's longer than 35 feet, however; they would allow grandfathering. Last fall, we had an axle failure caused by bumps in the road and Allied covered, they also increased their rate by nearly 45%. Ouch! That might have been their way of removing us from their policy, since our unit is 39 ft. We're now with Progressive with full replacement policy and diminishing deductible at competitive rates.
