We use a sound bar with our TV for movies. We go into the audio menu and switch over to the sound system this turns off the tv voume without moving the volume setting. I don't have my coach yet but think that you have to go to the TV audio button and toggle right or left to turn either on or off. The TV is still a seperate item but usually controls which system it is using.

I'm used to Home Theaterreceivers and big speakers. The HT in the Redwood looks like a toy. But last night, I put in a Chicago/Earth Wind & Fire Blu-ray concert and it totally "rocked-the-house" (with volume at 25). Even the subwoofer was doing it's job. I was totally impressed. Not sure where you can use this type ofsound system, but it'sdefinitely not a toy. You won't need a sound bar anymore...

Today is a chilly rainy day but with the heat pump on and the fireplace glowing, it VERY cozy. I've gone around and adjusted all of the doors that didn't work just right. Now I'm out of things to do.

Has anybody had problems with the RCA blueray? Ours worked for one movie a few days ago but this morning I went to put a movie in and it would not give me a picture on the TV, so i took it out of its self and found that the HDMI cable is real loose in the back of the player so i tried a different cable and still no picture. The new cable is also very loose it wiggles in its port. Any ideas?

RCA BluRay and haven't had a chance to check it out yet. We got all our Sat cables we wanted, but then they forgot to install the control cable.

Bryan (KR2011),
Mine is aloose fit onHDMI #1 on the TV end. If I wiggle it, I lose picture and sound, but resting in the port, it works OK. I'm lucky so far. I don't have any spares because I'm using HDMI #2 for satellite receiver -since there is no HDMI "input" on the RCA. That's a shortcoming on RCA's part.
I'm consideringswitching to a cheap Sony Home Theater receiver STRDH520 (4 HDMI inputs andswitches digital audio & video),and separate Blu-ray player BDP-S590 (as a couple of movies I tried last week could not be decoded).
The only thing that would cause what you have described is a broken HDMI output port on RCA. I'll bet tech support will replace it.

How did you make out with Direct TV? I just had Direct TV installed and was told that the DVR would not have full capabilities since I did not have two wires coming in. Did you get the DVR, and if so, any issues?
Thanks.

I have the DVR and used the sat connection in the cargo area for my second line. It works great.

I had four lines installed at the factory, so I have two lines to the DVR in the LR, a line to the Bedroom for a HD Rcvr, and a 4th line into the basement for another HD Rcvr for outside viewing. All connected to a Winegard SK3005 SlimLine Dish.

Happy Camper,
Thanks for the response. Sorry to be a pest, but you could be a bit more specific about your hook up. I take it that one line from your dish goes into the satellite connection in your docking station, and the other, as you described, to the satellite connection in your basement. I assume that your receiver is located in the left cubby below the tv, where there are three connectors. Can you tell me how the receiver is connected at that location?
Thanks for your help, as the tech did not even try the hook up in the basement area.

One is the single and the other is the bottom of the double. I hope this helps. We so very rarely use the bedroom TV that I haven't even tried to hook it up other than the antennae.
