I don't use any type of sat dish, only park cable or OTA. I added the wingman little thing to my antenna which makes it directional & with booster on can generally get 25-40+ channels. With all the crap on TV nowadays, it doesn't matter how many channels you get it's still difficult to find something to watch.

Had a friend RVing for more than 25 years, from class A's to TTs. Always complained about crappy signals. One day on his class C I went over to take a look for him and located his booster, turned it on and voila, about 30 channels, crystal clear and in HD. He asked me what I did, told him and he said, "you mean to tell me that for years I thought it was just the way RVing was and it was as simple as the booster?" So don't feel bad, we've all been there, done that.

It's there, somewhere in the bedroom most likely. Mine is behind the bedroom tv. I have to take the tv off the wall to access it.

OK we finally found it. It is in the bedroom. You have to take the TV off the wall it is on the left hand side. Turns out ours has been on the whole time. I guess we are just camping in out of the way spots because here at home in town we get great reception.

USUALLY in a cabinet next to your bedroom tv, but hear some are finding it behind the tv which is utter STOOPIDITY to put it there since it has to be turned on and off regularly...
(if you need to know how to get behind the tv, there's a whole 'nother thread on THAT little hurdle here --> http://www.redwoodrvowners .com/redwo...num=1394911553)
the booster will have what looks like a cigarette lighter receptacle on it...
mine is located on the left wall inside the cabinet to the right of BR tv in my first pic
(about where the yellow rectangle is but inside on mine)
and looks like the 2nd pic but is black... have to reach around the outlet to push the button in and out...

Yep that is where ours is, have to take the TV off the wall to access it. Why does it have to be turned off and on regularly???? Can't we just leave it on.

behind our bedroom tv are 2 wall plates with 2 coax connections each (4 total). Maybe they put a coax plate where they should have put the booster. Will check behind each to see if they are different internally.

if you don't ever move or
always watch from tv antenna
and never want to watch cable,
then you don't have to turn it off...
but if you leave it on always and want to watch cable then it WILL be horrible because boosting messes up the cable signal...

Jb2,
Yup, dumbest place I can imagine! When I asked Crossroads about moving it, they told me too bad. I know others have succeeded, so when it goes in for its one year check, I'll let the selling dealer handle it.

That is exactly the way mine works. I have two Dish VIP-211 receivers. There is a $7. charge for each to be activated and I get the same Top 250 programming as at home. They are on my home account.

Ian - on the 36FL it is on the rear bulkhead in the corner unit in the kitchen. Green light comes on when it is switched on

Yup. Thinking of putting that bedroom TV on a swing out mount like the living room TV.

RW covered the cost for our dealer to move the switch to the side cabinet. It never should have been put there in the first place!!

What I want to know is what's the best way to hoist the 50 pound antenna onto the roof. I am going to do the install as soon as the temperature cools off, but how do you all get the Travel'er antenna onto the roof?

Ken - that's one of the reasons I paid the dealer to install. Getting the dish up to the roof was too much like "work"
