'Satellite IN Satellite OUT' Wall Plate

I own a 2011 Redwood 36 RE.
I wanted to see the various connections on the rear of the LG DVD unit that is in a shelf compartment at the rear of the RV. I had never pulled the LG unit out before.
To my surprise, along with an electrical outlet, there is a 'Satellite IN Satellite OUT' Wall plate.
Can someone please help me understand it's purpose?

Thanks, Don

Don, the Redwoods are all pre-wired for satellite. There's a an area on the roof for mounting a dish where those wires run up to.

Don,

I know this is off topic but noticed you had the first 2011 unit I have observed on here. Did you buy it used and if bought new how well has it held up?

Thanks for the previous question as I was up on my roof installing vents over the Fantastic fans last weekend and noticed where the connection Dave spoke of exits the roof.

Thanks!

Don, get the model number of your LG DVD and download the manual online
or just do a google search for it and many places will have pics...
like amazon, etc... that you can see the back

(us lazy people do that all the time)

Further Clarify The Wall Plate

I may not have clarified and described the wall plate I am referring to well enough.
I've included a couple images. Please click on them to increase their size.
The most puzzling thing to me is the Satellite OUT jack.
Is the Satellite IN jack simply another Satellite drop?
I am currently using Direct TV. The receiver is in front of the TV.
Please examine and comment.
Thanks,
Don

I wonder if they used to run an "out" to another TV so you could use a "duo-tuner" like the Dish Vip 222k I used to have. Satellite came into the receiver, and HDMI to the TV, but a second tuner in the reciever had a coax output to another TV. There was also the whole house output on almost all the tuners for a while, that also had the output coax from the reciever....

Just a thought.
