Just do like I did at 6000 miles throw the chain junk out and buy Timkin USA bearings it cost a little over $400 bucks but the steel the USA makes is a lot harder and better only proof is have you ever hard a wheel bearing failure on a truck make here and if it's not the bearings but bearing size then maybe someone in the food chain needs to be hit with a class action suit your suppose to design to a larger than normal failure limit but it always seems they only want to put lipstick on a pig

Same here. When we did the IS and Kodiak discs a change to Timkens was also done.
Think it added $60/wheel if I remember.

Ron,
I see you are offering more and more kits for our RV's.... do you offer a complete Timken bearing, race and seal kit for our 7000lb. axles?
If not of course I could go down to the parts store after I check my #'s but is there a easy site to purchase online?
Are those the Timken #'s you listed?

Steve

Steve, Look here for the 7,000 lb lippert axle parts, : http://www.carry-ontrailer.com/wp-co...xle-Manual.pdf

Looks like page 37 is the diagram and chart showing same part numbers. So I am not sure if those are Timken numbers or not.

Those are universal part#'s. Remember, these part#'s are for electric brakes only.
If you have Kodiak or Titan Disc's the outside bearing is different.

I do not have Timken bearings available.

Steve,

You can buy Timken bearings/races and seals at:
Amazon.com, and
Stockwiseauto.com

Relative to part numbers, you will have to check the axle rating and disk brake rating. My coach had 7K axles and 8k Kodiak Disk Brake wheel hubs. I did not realize that at first and had to return and re-order the outer bearings/races.

I purchased my Timkens from our local bearing shop in town that I use for all our parts on the equipment in the shop.
They are sitting in a box waiting for spring! I should have replaced them while doing the suspension upgrades , but I did not think about it at the time...

I tried purchasing the Timken parts at my local NAPA store, but, they said they no longer handle them because no one wants to pay the extra cost for the Timken product......they would not even special order them for me.

It cost me about $57. per wheel for Timken bearings/races and seals.

I'll have to see if my parts store can cross reference the LCI # to Timken unless someone has those #'s handy. Looked online and a bit confusing and a few to many #'s for me to feel confident I referenced the correct one. I've got the 7000lb. axles and electric brakes.
Trying to get all my parts in the winter and go at it when the weather brakes.
