2 days before ours went into production!

No I'm not sure when. Ours was manufactured in March 2013

Hey does Montana still offer the Boom? They started right after we ordered our 2007 - can't win for loosin I'm just wondering if they got similar complaints and eventually dropped it.

I think it was model dependent. Our 2955RL Montana it was fine if the sewer was forward of the boom, but if behind, forget it. Was mounted so it wouldn't swing to the rear without kinking the hose and blocking the flow.

When we had our boom on the previous 5er, it was great - 9 times out of 10 I could position the sewer outlet when pulling in and it was an easy task to swing the boom out with the stored hose inside !!!

Ours would go either forward or backward just as easily... I miss it... considering getting one for the rw if we ever determine we are going to use it more.

I might still have some of the Boom parts in the garage at the S&B from the Montana and RW.

Have the boom on ours and couldn't live without it. Pull the hose, use a 4" stick of pvc, I carry a few different lengths, insert it a couple of inches into the boom and stop a couple of inches short of the drain. No worries.

We cut our tabs off as well, but when you have to uncouple from a clear extension or elbow I have to use a strap wrench to disengage. I'm going to get another because the old hands ain't what they used to be.

Ours is a 2013 built in November 2012 and we don't have a boom.
