Shore power reel

Have a 2019/3901 that has lost power to the reel that rewinds the shore power cord reel. Shore power works but no power to the rewind button. Anyone know where the 12 volt comes from that powers this. Don’t find a fuse so I’m guess it’s a relay but where is it? Shore power cord is out and can’t get it to retract!

It could be a fuse on the 12 volt side. On my old MH the reel plugged into a 110 outlet in the bay. It came unplugged once and did not work. Not sure on RW i did not have the Power reel on my RW

I think on my 2020 3401 the power cord reel wire comes from the battery compartment. its pink and white and is fused with 50amp short stop. Its also switched from the batteries so you need to turn it on (or have power from the converter).

I've tried to attach my 12 V wiring diagram - hope it helps

Update

My battery bay only has one shut off switch.

I’d missed it but there is a 20 amp fuse blown as shown in picture, blew again when replaced. Not sure but thinking the cord reel motor maybe shorted out.

Anyone have any advice or thoughts of something I’m not seeing. The dealer I bought it from no longer sells RW so they may not help.

You might search back through previous post, if I recall there were others that had this problem & seems they found the problem at the reel itself with contacts burnt.
But at my age & my "hereafter/CRS" problem (I go into a room & have to stop to think what was I here after/can't remember s##t) I could be thinking about what was on the other RW forum.

Thank you, I saw one where the contacts were burned but that is 220 volt shore power which I have . It’s the 12 volts for the rewind motor I’m in need of.

I agree with the age thing!

Hopefully you don't have 220 volts connected to anything?
You will have 2 legs of 120 volt each coming my into your RW, but those 2 legs shouldn't come together making 220 to any application in the RW.
But if I'm not mistaken your cord reel should be 12 volt otherwise you wouldn't be able to use it without shore power or generator connected.

I think we have but will take any advice or things to look for. Looks like the little solenoid was sticking. Although it was free wheeling it still blew the 20 amp fuse as soon as we engaged the switch in or out.

Ordered a SOUTHWIRE-CRRK-01
Reel Coupler Retrofit Kit Black
CRRK-01
Hope this is the answer but stopped short of pulling the reel until I get kit and instructions.
I am concerned at my age and physical condition that I can do this but dealer is too far away to help. The cord is out

Tried to send a email directly, not sure how this site works. I had to replace my power cord motor last winter. It is a bit of a job, doing it yourself but can be done.
If you feel that is your next step give me a call at 317-954-7119 and I can share my experience and let you know where to get the new motor.
My name is Allen Wehr.
