Slide Awnings
Hi, I have a 2018 3901 WB and did not come through with the Slide Awnings option. Dose anyone know the brand Redwood would have been used?
Thanks,
Mike

I meant to ask you if you have a standard awning mounted on the slide with the slide out awning. Just thinking of the space needed at the top to secure both. thanks Mike

I ordered my 31SL with two Uniguard awnings that have the covers on them along with the Slide Toppers. It looks a little tight but both fit and operate fine.

There is room.... on my "16" I had 2 factory installed awnings with the slide toppers as well. There was plenty of room for both.

We have a '16 MB which is the same basic floor plan and have a main awning and the one on our Living/Dining slide, plus Toppers on all three slide out.

slide toppers
if you are going to add toppers put them as high on the side wall of your unit as possible giving you the most angle you can get. this will help avoid pooling on the canvas and the canvas stretching. also when bringing in the slide after a rain less possibility of water coming inside.

slide topper
I have a 2016 38RL with the slide within the slide bedroom. Has anyone found a topper that will work with the limited space available for each of these slides ?
If so, any manufacturer names, part #'s, or dealer that had installed this.
Thanks
Barry

Back in 2015 when I got my "16" 38RL I asked the same question as was told no... I didn't like that answer so I kept prying and emailing and calling Carefree Of Colorado ( the maker of the toppers I had) .
I was moved around and finally got sent to a manager who knew exactly what I was talking about. I had to take lots of pictures along with measurements and send it to them.
At the end of the day, their engineering department was not going to take on the task of making them due to the fact ( according to them ) that there was not enough clearance to properly mount that small little topper...
That's my story, and I'm sticking to it !

Slide in slide
I have a slide in slide and there is no way to put a topper on the outer slide. But You can do the following....attach the topper to the side wall and the to the outer slide but it won't cover the inner slide. It is too big. And there is no room to put separate toppers on each

Yep, I installed our Side toppers.
Bought then from Shade Pro (Carefree brand)
I installed them about 1 1/2 to 2 inches higher on our coach to get a steeper angle.
Had them for 5 years now, never held water and still have good tension on all 5 toppers.

slide toppers
The slide toppers on motor homes have different mounting, and I am sure ( at least it looks like ) they will work, has anyone tried these ?
