sliding desk drawer

how does everyone secure the sliding "desk" drawer under the TV, when traveling? We have used dowel rods in the drawer pulls under that desk, but there has to be a better solution.

I have never had an issue with the drawer coming out during travel in over 25,000 miles. The drawer on our unit requires a very firm pull to bring it out for use. It sounds like the latch on yours may be broken or not present.

Same here, no problems as long as it's pushed firmly in so the latch on the back engages.

Some have had the latch break. You need to take the few screw that hold the fireplace in pull it out and you will have access to the latch

I fixed ours, remove the fireplace, get some glue/goo, relocate the screws in other holes, predrill or it will split, once back together let it sit over night and you are done.
