Solar Connector

What is the Solar connector on the side actually connected to? I would think that if it were connected to the batteries there would be 13.vdc at the connector. Unless there is a blocking diode installed.

it should be connected to the batteries. imo that connection is a sad joke and little more than a sales gimmick. max stated current is only 10 amps.

On our rig the wires were bundled and zip tied, ready to be connected to the batteries. Since we have a portable 120 watt solar panel (Go Power) we sometimes use the connection to add additional solar to the unit if we're camped in a shady location. I have a 30' extension cord for the portable panel that allows us to put the panel in a sunny spot. We also have 3 120 watt panels mounted on the roof connected to a 30 amp controller.
