Looks fantastic!! If I was not so uncertain about keeping my Redwood, I would like to have the same system installed along with the disc brakes.

Karl ,

I really am not sure if the IS will become an option... There is a lot to take into consideration.... With the relationship between Redwood and Lippert, even though Lippert does not offer the IS , there may be issues bringing in another vendor...
The good news is that there was conversation between Redwood and MORRyde , will that turn into something more???
BUT - - -

Let's all remember something, there is really no such thing as free... Any manufacturer that offers the IS as standard , will reflect that in the numbers...

When shopping trailers , if a manufacturer does not offer something , you must just option it out yourself....
The bottom line is - everything is an option , it just depends on when , and how much you pay...

Redwood does not necessarily need to offer the IS system. For only a small amount extra they could offer an undercarriage that is not engineered to the minimum.

If they had engineered the system for the full 16k or better, they could keep the cost down, and compete and not have as many failures.

Maybe it would be nice to get a survey done of how many suspension/tire failures have really occurred prior to the Rally. Present the results at the Rally. Include costs, if possible.

Shane ,

I believe it is about 200-300# more.. But not 100% sure... That is a question I can ask MORRyde..

Scott ,

While I agree , my change was because of ride quality... There are thousands of RW's out there , they all can't be breaking down....

IF it were an option , there would nobody to blame in a failure..

I have an appointment set up at Morryde on the 8th and 9th after the Rally to do the 8K IS upgrade to my 2015 38RL. They have been very helpful in answering my questions and have been a pleasure to deal with.
Anyone know of a good way to kill 2 days in Elkhart with a couple of Papillons in tow?

I have the same problem, I am getting the IS installed prior to the Rally (July 28 & 29) and I have a small puppy dog, need to figure out what to do during the IS installation.

We took the black lab out to walk the grounds at Notre Dame... It really was a great way to kill a few hours....

We also took her to Shipshewana and kept the truck running while we shopped at the outside store and bulk food store..the balance of the time she was left inside the RW with the AC running..

We put the bed next to the island at the bottom of the steps. She also just sleeps on her bed and does not bark... Of course I asked Rob and Sergio BEFORE leaving her in there....

Just be prepared to be ALL slides IN AT 6:00 AM SHARP....

There is a Fairfield by Marriott about 15 minutes west on 80/90 that is pet friendly.... We almost stayed there...

Y'all should send the old axles and springs back to Redwood for recycling. Pretty soon they will start to get the hint

There may still be a lot of 'stragglers' at the campground after the rally. You may be able to visit them!

Hi Joe,
Glad to see you put the IS system on, best money spent as far as I"m concerned, have pulled mine through 11 states now and counting, and have no regrets.
Safe travels brother.
