Stool Problem
In our 38 GK we have the Aqua Magic Residence stool. When we are on our fresh water tank the stool works fine. When we change to city water the stool runs but doesn't shut off. We changed over yesterday and it flooded our bathroom. Our city water pressure is pretty low 30-40 psi would this cause the stool to not shut off?

Yes, we had a similar situation with low city pressure, found if you let the pedal snap back pretty hard it will shut off.

OK, take it for what it's worth: We had a similar problem, but it wasn't low pressure, it was high pressure and I had negleted to put our pressure reg inline. Now refuse to hookup water until the pressure reg is on the tap. As for low pressure, our reg is set for about 40 and have been at some places recently where their pressure was only 25 to 30 and no problems.
I did talk to a Tetford Tech after our problem and was told pressure shouldn't exceed 60 lbs because the shutoff couldn't handle high pressure.

I talked to Thetford and they said low pressure or high pressure would cause problems. I ordered a pressure booster pump. I'll try that. $400. Thanks for the replies.

For about half that cost you could switch to the 310 or 320 Dometic which sounds like it's a little better design. There are numerous on the Montana Forum who switched after having problems with the same Thetford RW uses.

Good idea on replacing the stool but would not help with the low water pressure in the shower etc. Thanks
