Struts that hold basement door open
Does anyone know where to get the struts that hold the basement door open. Mind are going on 4 years and are worn out Also need a part number if you have one.

Don't have my unit in front of me to look at, but I am sure if you called Tiara RV in Elkhart, Indiana they can get them for you. They have been doing a great job getting parts for other Redwood owners. They were at the Rally in Shipshewana this year. 1-866-880-3093

The part number is on the strut itself. Because the hinges were weak on the 2012, you will want to make sure you get the exact same as you have, and they aren't necessarily the same on both sides. Sometimes they put a higher strength on one side if two high strength were too much.
Mine were weak, especially in the cold, so the Dealer installed new ones. That same day I pushed the door down and it snapped the hinges and dropped the door on my feet. The Dealer didn't replace like for like.

Take them to NAPA. They stock a wide varity and can either cross your part number or look up the legenth and weight.

Call Tiara RV in Elkhart, Indiana (1-866-880-3093) with the VIN number of your coach and explain to them what you want. Tiara RV has been set up by Redwood to facilitate owners to get parts.

I would call Tiara RV Parts. Give them your VIN number and they will send you the exact replacement part that you need. I have ordered parts from them on three different occasions. Each item has been been correct, packed well for shipping, and received in a timely manner! The folks were great to work with.

My 2012 has the mfg name and part number on the strut. Minr were from a co in holland mi.

I just had to replace the 2 on my 2016 under warranty... Just called my dealer , he had 2 shipped directly to my house within 1 week... The old ones are stenciled with the manufacturer AND the part number...
I checked into it and got a price on the next highest ones just in case...
Stock is 45# , I have a part number for 60# just in case
