Only in portable tanks - an ASME tank is not considered portable which is why motorhomes can carry as much as they want.

I had the 30's swapped with 40's. No issue with gas line lengths. The 40's were selected as I had the Onan Gold 6.5 KW generator option added to our 2013 36RL.
