Has anyone replaced the factory tank sensors with the Garnet 709-DLP? I'm wondering how hard it is to place the external sensors on the tanks and fish the wiring up to the panel.

2015 38RL with MORryde IS, residential fridge, DW, washer and dryer, generator, and slide in slide. 2 A/C, 1 HP and a fireplace. Added 17.5 inch wheels. Follows a 2013 Ram dually diesel with 8' bed and Reese 20K.
I have not see a good Tank monitor system. eventually they all stick and do not work properly. Don't waste your time or money and just learn how to know your RV tanks. I know based on how we use the RW we can go 4-5 days on the Gray tanks and 2 weeks on the black. There are many Threads on the use of tank monitors on the here you can search for.
Our redwood sensors gave false readings within the year so I gave up. We now have external sensors on our MH and they work just dandy. In fact the black tank has two systems, one dedicated to the rear macerator toilet which uses the sensors to lock out flushing if the tank is full. The control panel above the toilet gives you tank level in addition to the regular monitor system.
I don't know what brand sensors they are nor the cost, sorry. Winnebago builds the monitor system in house. I would imagine any that use the external sensor are fine. A few folks here converted to the SeeLevel and I believe they were happy with the results.

We've never had a problem in any of our many RVs until we got our RW. The black on all have been a little iffy but the grays and fresh have always been pretty accurate. When boondocking, which we do a lot in our Host camper, that accuracy is appreciated. When we're out in the woods it's especially good to know if we're getting short on fresh water, so we can econimize and think about heading to where we can fill our 65 gal tank. Also we've never overflowed our gray tank due to knowing how much strorage we have left.

The sensors are easy to install if you have easy access to the sides of your tanks. I used the original wiring rather than installing new.
