Anyone change out their thermostat for a different one? Ours has been acting strange with a varying difference in temperature. We have a wall mounted thermometer just above the thermostat and differnce in temperature varies between 2 - 10 degrees. I just installed a new one, the same model that was original to the unit. It is even worse. Does anyone know of another brand that will work in these units with a heat pump?

I think any 12v. thermostat that has the heat pump a/c furnace and fan settings with the same type of connections should work as a replacement. Your thermostats are all low voltage and one that meets the specs of the old one should do the job.

The only problem with the typical thermostat and an RV thermostat seems to come into play with the hi-lo AC fan switch on the RV thermostat. Maybe the new display screen thermostats can do it, but normally there is no requirement to have 2 fan speeds on a residential HVAC
