Tire Pressure Monitors

Any suggestions for tire pressure monitor systems? Thinking about getting this before camping season starts.

We have the TST 507 flow thru system. Works great!

I would shy away from the Tire Minder/Tire Trakker. They work, but are prone to giving false alerts and takes 15 to 20 minutes before the alert will reset.

TST reads pressure & temperature which also is good information. Mine aren't the flo thru, not sure how they work on duals with stems facing each other, but I have no problems as they are.

I just replaced our Pressure Pro system with TST, I bought 6 non-flow throughs (for the dually) and 4 flow through sensors (for the Redwood). The batteries on the PP sensors had run down and aren't user replaceable, thus the reason for the change, and I like the temp sensor addition on the TST.

A couple of comments:

The programming on the TST was a bit of a pain for me, it took numerous tries to read the instructions and get it right. I will still play with it to adjust the temp warning down from the pre-set value. By comparison, for the PP you just inflate the tires to the correct pressure and install the sensors, they alarm at 5% low.

The TST comes with a wrench as an anti theft device, you need it to install and take off the sensors as otherwise the sensor turns without loosening/tightening it. The wrench won't work on the rear dual wheels as you can't get it into the hole and onto the sensors and turn them (at least on my F-450), the solution for me was to cut off the finger tab on the wrench. Fortunately TST supplies 2 wrenches so the other one works "as-is" for the front wheels of the dually and the flow through sensors on the Redwood.

I installed a repeater in the RV but you may not need it depending on the RV length.

One final point, if you call TST to order instead of doing it on-line they will give a discount, at least I got one.

I have the N vision system. Works great but, they don't have the replaceable batteries. Easy to use and install
