Tires

Any information on Hercules tires H901? My Goodyear tires which I've had 6 years need to be changed and I loved them. I put over 50,000 miles on them with no problem. Need to change because of age. The south Florida heat 12 months a year worries me. Goodyears are out of sight price wise now. Over $2,400 for 4. The Hercules are 1/2 the price and my tire guy says they are rated high and the same quality. Any suggestions?

I read good reviews on the Hercules, but have NO 1st hand experience. The Saluin brand I did use & could/would recommend them, also much better price than the GYs.

There are a few running the Hercules H901s on the Montana Forum with good reviews, but keep in mind that the Montana runs a little lighter than RWs.

One thing about the Goodyear G614 if your have any blowouts with in the the first 4 years they will pay for any damage to your RV. Me personally I would go to 17" tires and wheels

Read the print on that GY damage repair warranty.
There are a few requirements for them to determine if it was a defect or user misuse/abuse BEFORE they pay for damages. They will need as much of the blown tire carcass as possible for that testing.
IMHO that warranty isn't worth twice the price of other recommended tires. Just my .02 cents!
It's similar to the roof warranty on your RW. The material is warranteed for XX years, but NOT improper installation by the rv manufacturers which is generally the most common fault with the roof.

do the tire and wheel upgrade to 17.5 tires get yourself a set Sailun 637 tires . If you dont do the 17.5" wheels and tires the Sailun 637 is available in 16" also. we are 4 years into a set of 17.5" Sailun 637 tires , they have about 15,000 miles on then and still have more than 1/2 the tread left. 215/75/17.5" load range H on a 6.5 ~6.75" wide wheel is a good fit. 8 lugs on a 6 1/2" bolt circle is a standard trailer wheel with little to zero offset in the wheels.

Bridgestone R238

Are last trip I blow out two brand new cheap Taiwan tires
Install BRIDGESTONE R238 215/75 R 17.5 and have had no issues. Would not purchase any tire trailer produced in Asia

Doesn't matter what brand or Country. On the way to the 2019 Rally I had a Good Year G114 explode with no warning. Temp and pressure of all four tires were all almost the same until: BOOM and pieces of tire went flying. Good Year did cover the cost of a replacement tire.

Well I have first-hand knowledge of working with good years warranty department normally I’m very skeptical but after a blowout I had my G614s just a year ago. yes had to send it into Goodyear they paid for shipping within two weeks I contacted them they wrote me personally a check for a new tire and wrote the body shop a check for $9700 for damage to my vehicle and they wrote a check for the tire that I had to buy on the road to get home.
