Trash can cupboard

The latch on the trash cupboard broke today has anyone found a better latch thanks

Sometimes the latch latches with out the hook on the drawer. If you look at the closet it has the same closers. I have had problems with the closet and used a screw driver to pry the spring loaded cam back into the receiving position

Before when the cam is in. The spring is very stiff.

After prying the cam out into the receiving position.

Thanks for the response tried everything to pry that latch But no luck the pantry one works fine I thought there was a post from someone that replaced the latch with another but i could not find it

We break several of those latches per year. Have purchased some locally since we live in Elkhart, IN. About $8 a piece. Others have used some magnetic latches with success. I have seen the Decorite 5838 Positive Catch latch, which is the one that Redwood uses, on eBay for roughly $20-$23 for 4 with free shipping. Also by RV Designer H315 5#, and H316 10#. JR Products # 70445 is what I found locally. Hope that helps.
