Traveler satellite problem;

I recently relocated from Oklahoma to Kansas after having the dish up for quite some time in Oklahoma, as I parked overnight in Kansas the dish would try to find a signal over and over unsuccessfully before stowing itself. The following day I continued my trip to Colorado, where I once again had the same problem? I checked the coax cables on the dish, actually disconnecting the three and reconnecting them. Then the dish worked. BUT, I had to once again move on to another place and same problem? I checked the coaxial cables again but this time it didn’t resolve the problem? Anyone else have the same problem?

We've had our Travel'r for 6 years now and the only thing that seems to affect connectivity is trees in close proximity..........even off to the side. When I converted our Travel'r from Hopper 2 to Hopper 3, one caveat for it to sync to the satellites was:

Disconnect the coax input from the dish to the Hopper.
Then begin the Travel'r search process.
After the Travel'r locks onto the the satellites and displays:

SM Dish 1000

*119 *110 *129

Reconnect the coax to the Hopper and ours connects every time.

Friends lost communications on their's a while back. They contacted Winegard and the Tech they spoke with suggested changing the coax from the LNB down to the base of the dish, said they had some problems with that coax.
Did the replacement while overniteing using a section or regular RG6 coax vs that tiny they used and Bingo, worked like a champ.
