In my 2014, we couldn't get it out without breaking the TV. Tried every way we could. Fortunately, the TV had failed and that is why we wanted it out. It needed screws to hold it in place on the bracket, and when it was installed, someone put tape atround the screw and the screwdriver used to attach it, and the tape stayed behind on the bracket blobking access to the screws.
