Updated Paint Scheme??

Has anyone heard when Redwood will be updating the paint scheme?? While I don't mean to offend anyone, but I am not a big fan of the "trees" in the current paint scheme. I really like the looks of my 2013 and am wondering if Redwood plans on keeping the trees or maybe is going to make them smaller in the future? Again, I mean no disrespect to current owners and I am not looking to start a war - just my own opinion and curiosity...

Don't worry, we're a completely non-offensive group.

How dare they put TREES on a Redwood!

Seriously, if I were buying again that would be good to know, as the change can really date your prior version you just bought a few months before that.

I totally agree, I like the older scheme much better. DW even said if we were looking we would not look at the RW, she doesn't like the paint or most of the new interior colors.

I do like the tree, I don't care for the Redwood stickers for the name.

I understand the concern for the Redwood name decals, however, they seem to be of very high quality and after almost five years are in excellent shape on mine. Are the letters on the newer scheme also the same heavy vinyl decals?

I too prefer the older paint scheme over the current one. On the newer scheme the tree is quite large so it may make the RW stand out more from other manufacturers. The older scheme just seems richer in appearance to me.

I prefer the newer paint scheme to the older one. You can always have the raised redwood stickers removed if you don't like them

I still love my older black/silver. Held up well. People still ask if my unit is brand new when I pull in.
I doubt it, but wonder if you can request the previous scheme when you place an order.

Hello Everyone,

Redwood will be changing the paint schemes for the 2017 units coming out in September.

Afraid the "Tree" will be even bigger then. Not sure why RVs never seem to get classier? They always seem to go the other way. Look at a DRV interior over the years...

Any previews?

I read someone's new order is already titled as 2017.

That would be me. I took delivery 2 weeks ago today and it is titled 2017.

Actual production date 1/29/2016.

Yeh, but they always have an early year model which usually matches the late year model of the year before. So the early 2017 probably looks like the late 2016's, and the actual updates take effect during the late year model. At least that's what Redwood has been doing for several years now.

I agree - they pretty much do what they want at any point in the year they want. Kind of like you really never know what is coming on the order

For grins, I had pics of the transition to the new paint scheme and remodel of the front and rear nose on the last round. At the same dealer parked next to each other bearing the same production year on the sheets were the old ones, old paint with new caps, new paint with old caps, and new paint with new caps. The average buyer had no idea of the difference.

Pretty much. Two very nice cabinet upgrades on the 31sl between my 2016 that rolled and the 2017 that I actually received. The cabinet in the kitchen is full size rather than the soup can size one and the bathroom mirrored vanity has more storage behind. Also the King bed has small end tables.

Other than that not much different.

Thanks Kathy! I know which direction I hope Redwood goes on the new design. I guess that also means at least one more full year with my current coach.

For those of you attending the Rally in August you will probably get to see the new paint schemes. I'm not sure about the tree but I will let the product team know about the dislike to the trees.
