vacuum cleaner
ok my redwood friends, all of a sudden my vacuum connection , or the vac plate isn't working. we checked the breaker, and the fuses. of course i am so spoiled to this vacuum, and of course i could just go buy a vac,, but it's such a luxury to just plug it in and clean this coach. oh yes, the bag was full, and i replaced it too.
Thanks,
Rhonell

Can you hear the vacuum running, but no suction, or is it totally dead?
Ours lost suction and turned out the hose came of the vacuum unit.
Might have to pull a section of the rear bulkhead and check things. Ours just plugs into a standard duplex outlet, so the cord could have come unplugged. With a flashlight make sure the hose is securely fastened at each end.

Have you removed the plate that the hose goes into? Besides the vacuum hose it has 2 low voltage wires that could break or come loose. If the hose connected to the plate is long enough you should be able to check these wires.

You stated that you checked the breakers. What about your GFCI in the bathroom? Ours was tripped once after washing the coach and apparently the exterior receptacle got a little moist and tripped the GFCI. Reset and vacuum worked again.

yes, my husband came home and reset the GFI, and still nothing. we will be checking the wires behind the kickplate, and the hose cap today. when i checked the bag yesterday, it was really full, so i changed it. we will later also get behind the basement wall to check if hoses, and vac motor is plugged in. don't know why it wouldn't be, but we'll see.

We had our unit fail as well a few years ago. Turns out the circuit card inside the unit failed which I replaced.
