Vent Cover
Has anyone installed the Maxx Air 2 vent covers on their RW?
Does the existing vents when opened clear the cover completely?
We have the rain sensors now but would be nice to be able to leave at least one open for ventilation.

I've got them on all 4 vents, the vent opens against them & torques out to stop, have worked great since they installed when we bought the RW 3 1/3 years ago. They are also easy to open to clean underneath, pull 2 pins & hinged on the opposite. We put the black ones on to match everything else up there & are very pleased as they let in just a bit of light, not enough to wake you in morning like the shower.

Same as Danny, put the black ones on over 3 years ago and work like a champ. Have had the vents open in some nasty storms and never any rain inside.

I have 3 of the black Maxx Air Vent Covers too, very easy to install, (mounting holes are already there, just pull the plugs out and attach the Vent Cover hardware) they work great, block the rain, the hot sun and the bright light.

I went to the RV supply store today and there are several different MaxxAir covers. Some of them just have a flat front and the MaxxAir II cover that Steve mentions has an angled face. The angled one has the brackets and hinge pins. The flat face one just has holes on the flange.
How do I make sure to get the proper ones for my new Redwood? Do I need to get the model number off my fan?
Is their drilling involved on the installation?

I have three of the MaxxAir covers that are made for their fans, but mine don't look like any that are currently on their Web Site and mine are only a year old.
Holes are predrilled in the Fan, you just remove the rubber plugs and install the cover hardware.

Maxx Air II, no drilling required, the mounting holes are already there, just remove the plugs in the holes.

I would call Max Air with your vent fan model number. They are very helpful. I have their covers on our Fantastic rain sensing units. They are great.

Ok sorry if this is redundant!
I went up on the roof and checked the fan they are model 4700K. I do not see any plugs and it looks like youtube says you have to drill 3/16 holes in the frame of the fan.
What am I missing???

The little white rubber plugs. Look really close as they are only a bump in the surface of the side of the Fan housing, not that provided you have the MaxxAir Fans and not Fantastic Fans, as I believe at one time RW was using Fantastic.
