We take our's in next week, when I called to get it in the lady said "it's a process to get approval". Whatever that means. I guess they make sure your first owner and it's actually a warranty item.

We've taken ours to our dealer B Young RV in Portland OR, and they have bent over backwards to help and accommodate us. We have them fixing surface cracking below bedroom slide, and it didn't take two days to get approval from Redwood. I'm really pleased at their customer service on our Redwood.

The question is... is the stonewalling really Redwood or your dealer? In many cases what is perceived to be Redwood delays are really the dealer dropping the ball. Don't be so quick to think the issues are Redwood's approval process, many of us have had no problem at all getting approval for warranty issues.

In our experience warranty repair approval takes up to 48 hrs. The last dealer we visited for a couple of warranty issues was same day and that was not minor work. We required the dishwasher removed and had a crack at 1 of the fwd slides repaired.
Started at 0900, work approved by RW and completed by 1500.
So as Chuck mentioned, don't be too quick blaming RW, as the dealers are the variable in this equation.

Agree, it may be the dealer, but to the customer, does it really matter where the issue is?
Bottom line the customer is out of service.
Yes, find a new dealer is easy to say,
but if the only dealers near your locale are so busy that they POST signs like I've seen that say something like:
If you bring your rv in today, 09/01/14,
It will be ready for pickup on 10/15/14.
And usually is NOT ready... that's still out of service.
From a business owners perspective, being THAT busy is a nice problem to have... they are selling a lot of rv's !

I've never had any issue or time lag getting Redwood to approve warranty work.

Ditto on Brad's comment. Currently getting approval for all 4 axle seals (although, that is going thru Lippert) and approval for bulb seal replacement on the two rear slides and a new microwave vent flapper. The problem is finding someone competent enough to do the work

Thanks to all responses. I now think it may be the dealer being a little too busy. We will see what happens on Monday, as they said they should have a better answer from Redwood
