Washer Dryer combos

I know all the argument on both sides of a combo unit. with that being said what is the groups preference on vented units? What's the best one? LG? Splendid?

I had a Spendide combo unit. I believe in the "three strikes and you are out" rule. First problem was that the internal "S" shaped vent tube clogged with wet lint and caused the unit to stop working, fixed by a tech. Second was a re-run of the first, I cleared it myself, Final out was that the electric dryer element failed because of the same issue. I replaced with a separate Splendide washer and dryer, dealer had to punch a second dryer vent hole through the side of the Redwood, first hole was hidden by a scare light using the plug cut from the second vent hole. You know my feelings about these combos!

I 2nd the "NO" on the combo unit. I also would never put in a non vented dryer of any brand.

No combo unit for sure but we have had really good luck with our Splendide units and have 3 sets in 3 different RVs.

We have had great luck with .Splendide split units. This is our second set sold the first in a Camino unit we had, only replaced the dryer belt in 12 years of use. Purchased a new set for our Redwood when we ordered it from the factory. Wife hates going to a laundry when we pull in for the night, does all her laundry in the trailer, so convenient. Always go with the vented units.

We've had two Combo units, in our Montana and then our '12 RW, but not real long term in either. The stacked units in our current '16 have been almost full time use going on 6 years now. Only issue we had was the Factory pinched the discharge hose during install that we had to pull the washer out and re-route.

Combi

I sent the firest comment to the manufacturer. They believe the cleaning of the unit as outlined in the manual was not followed

Combo BA stacked

I have a 01 carriage with original stacked unit that we keep on a lake lot that still works great, I have a 2016 RW 39MB that we FT in and that I installed a vented Splende combo that works perfect with respect to it’s intended purpose of taking up half the closet space and handling a smaller wash volume are are both vented...would never put a non vented in a house much less a RV. Too much moisture!
