Check for a panel in storage area, mine is behind the wall, 32 inches in and in very hard place to reach. Found it did not have a cartridge, went an bought external omni filter, installed @ power post, now no issue. Don't have to empty cargo area to reach.

We have a pretty bad water supply so we use two filters. We use an in-line filter bought at Walmart. We change it monthly. The in-house filter is changed every 6 months.
Location on most Redwoods is in same basement area as described above. Turn the overhead light on and it'll help you see the door that blends into the wall color and material. Hard to see and yes, hard to get into to change the filter.

We actually took out the water filter canister, the little mesh screen next to the water pump, and all the airators on the faucets. We now have much improved water flow. If needed, we put on a Cameo water filter at the hose spicket.
can someone tell me where the water filter is on the 38FL. 2014 model
I suspect it is similar to the 36FL. To access you need to remove everything from the basement. Crawl to the end of the basement and in the fore and aft bulkhead you will find a small door. Opening the door will provide access to the water filter.
A filter key should have been included in the bag with the manuals and paint samples.
