I want to remove the anode plug to drain the water heater but am having trouble figuring out what size the plug is so I can buy the right size socket. Does anyone know the size??? Thx, Bud

Good thing to do. I picked up my Redwood April 1st & removed the anode two weeks ago to winterized. It was almost totally disintegrated! I'll be checking it more often next year.

That's why you filter all the water coming in once I started doing that the Anode is only about 1/3rd gone in a year

Visited my dealer today and they said that the anode is very tight from the factory and that you really have to put some muscle into loosening it. Bud
