Washing machine water leak 36RL

We used our washer for the first time and noticed a leak. My husband found the grey flex hose not connected which left the drain wide open. Carpet wet and leaked out the front of the RV. I see threads that this has happened to others, but can't find the fix. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thx.

We had this condition too and used Basil's fix... it worked great. Not sure if you are talking about the same problem, but everyone should check under their bed if they have an RL model to make sure you don't have a potential mess getting ready to happen. The way it was installed was almost a given with the slide movement it would be disconnected. Thanks again Basil Fawlty for posting!!

Ya, one of the design issues with the 36RL. I went to the trouble to fix it before we used it, and I STILL got the leak. It turns out Redwood only glued the top part of the fixed 90 elbow under there and water was pouring out the bottom when it drained. That required a little more effort, like tearing the whole system out and starting over

Not what I wanted to spend time doing first trip out, but all is good now.
