Water not heating .....

No hot water propane flame burning for over hour .. Been on electric and not heating so switched it over to propane and not heating ? Any ideas on what it could be ??

First are you sure there's water in the Water Heater?? If you have a good flame going and still no hot water, sounds like the Water Heater Bypass is in bypass mode. If so and with no water in the heater, means the electric element is probably toast.

Check the wires under the black reset cover on tbe heater, there are 2 thermostats under there (1 12 volt, 1 120 volt) & the wires may be pinched/shorted. Mine were shorted & burnt the thermostats, replaced the thermostats, folded the metal down & trimmed a 1/4" off the black cover to cure the problem.

Also check the outside shower and make sure both valves are off the water will bypass and mix hot and cold water there too.
