Curious how many are using water softners and recommended brands and models?

I have used the "On The Go" brand for over 3 years and it has served us very well. It is available from Amazon at the following link:

http://www.amazon.com/Go-OTG4-DBLSOF...28AEV8K1GFFG9S

Also available from Camping World for $75. more.

I regenerate the softener once per month while we were staying in Florida.

Hope this helps.

Rv Pro 10000 , used almost 3 years & no problems, regenerate once per month or when needed with table salt.

We also use theRvPro 10000. Found our first winter in the SW the water is much harder than we're used to in the Pacific NW. Once a month with salt recharge, ooooh the water in the shower is wonderful.

I also use the "on the go" unit. I use the supplied hardness test strips and found that I can go 2 to 3 months before the water goes hard. It also saved the anode in the water heater, it was only half as much wore down last winter compared the winter before in California and Arizona where the water is very hard.
