Water Valve

I have a water valve that is located in the cold water supply under the sinless that either worked its way open or came loose. However, I cannot find anything that it was connected to. Our ice maker has stopped working but I cannot locate the supply line for it under the sink. Has anyone had this problem? If I knew how to attach a photo I would.

If you don't have a dishwasher the unattached valve under the sink is probably for that , we don't have an ice maker so don't know there .

Our ice maker line was tough to see. The valve was facing the back wall. Should be two pex hoses under the sink, one red, one blue. The blue has a splitter with a clear line going down and out to the ice maker. Another larger clear line to the dish washer if equipped from the red pex line. Both have shut off valves on them. Let me know if you need more info, at my rig today.
