what are your plans

This is a beautiful time of year in the mid-west and the time when we plan our trips. Where are your plans? Visiting the grand kids? Vacations? or experiencing new adventures in full timing.

A week from today I'll be at a factory rally in Indiana. We'll get to see the 2017 Entegras and for the first time be around a bunch of the folks with the coaches. Several other trips planed this year including meeting up with Jim and Judy Squires. Since Redwood the rally last year they bought a Dutch Star and I'm anxious to see it. Also we'll be putting up a new 40x60 pole barn for the MH which might crimp some of our travels.

2016 Disney Trip Completed. As soon as I get my RW back, a trip to Balmorhea State Park in Texas. Then all of July in Wisconsin, first in Milwaukee and then 3 weeks in Northern Wisconsin. Plan on scuba diving with a metal detector. Then a stop at the rally for a week.

Leaving on the 20th to head to Marble Falls, TX Sunset point RV park. Hope to catch some Bluebonnets still in bloom and maybe a few bass on the lake

"The Redwoods" are actually a collection of forested areas containing Coastal Redwoods that are a mix of state and federal properties. We generally stay in Crescent City (Redwood RV Park) that is adjacent to Jedediah Smith State Park, and its gaggle of very impressive coastal redwood trees. Farther south almost to Eureka there is more state and National park areas to explore. I could look at them for weeks.

I took stab and reserved Benbow KOA for a few days and Crescent City Redwood RV Park for about 4 or 5 more. Then off to Evergreen to see the Spruce Goose, as we had a hand it designing that building. We are picking up some friends out of LA that will travel with us until Evergreen.

Jim that would be a gas if we ran into you. We are reserved towards end of July (29th - Aug 2).

Shane, we did same rally/Chicago trip a couple years ago to see my son. Left RW at the rally site. Drove the dually to South Bend, parked at train station and took the train right into downtown Chicago for few days. Unexpectedly easy...

Just got back from a week @ Mill Creek in Canton, Tx.

And if those union guys don't strike up north
(The hangover of it made me cancel my Colorado trip last year!)

In May planning a trip to Tennessee and may stay at AnchorDown to do the tourist trap areas of Pigeon Forge and the distilleries around there and especially spend more time in the Smokies now that the kids are on their own...

And while you guys are leaving Colorado, we hope to go there in July! appreciate any insights about the durango area...

In October planning to do the Bourbon trail in KenTuck (sensing a them here? )

Brad We'll be there the whole last week of July, assuming there's space available. Just a point, most sites at Redwood RV park are not rooftop satellite friendly, but we are usually outside sightseeing for our time there. Would really be great to tip an adult beverage with you and your family.

We lived in LA Grange just outside of Chicago in 2000. Used to take the blue line downtown all the time

Awesome!

I did request satellite friendly, if available, but mentioned that I was pretty sure it wouldn't be.

John, our favorite spot in that area is Navajo State Park, on the Colorado side, about 20 miles from Durango. There is a New Mexico state Park at the other end, but i've only driven by or boated to the Marina so no experience with it.

Ditto here !! Try to get a site at the top of the ridge overlooking the lake.
