WHERE to buy exterior vent hood flap/damper
Does anyone know where to order a black damper/flap for the outside Range Hood Vent on a 2015 38RL?
Destroyed the small little pins so need a new one.

Tiara RV should be a good start.

Thanks for fast answer! More looking for an Amazon/internet store. Full timers and move all the time. My experience with dealer is that they drop-ship and you never know when it shows up. I donīt know the UPC number or brand. Can not find anything on the part.

My 2016 also had the small pins missing on 1 side.... I called Tiara RV out in Elkhart , gave them my VIN and a picture of what I needed.. They shipped the entire vent cover and flapper , in Black for a cost $8.50 + shipping and I had it by that Friday...
Now I put the new flapper in and have a spare outside vent just in case !!
The hardest part of the swap will be cutting an edge on the existing clear silicone that surrounds the vent...

Problem solved. Went to ACE and got a Brass Round and some metal tape. Works perfect.
Seems that the plastic tip hinge brakes all the time even on new ones.
$12.98 total price and still have most of the tape left...

The pins on that flapper aren't strong enough to last a bad windstorm. In fact, when I bought a replacement assembly at our local RV place the flapper pins were already broke from the trip from the manufacturer. I've found that when spares are readily available at parts places it's an indication of a problem/issue with that part!
I took off the complete assembly and replaced it with a bulletproof one that opens and closes using an awning pull rod. I'm fortunate in that our RW isn't painted and the replacement assembly was white.
I did have to buy an awning pull rod though!

Way to go you 2! That's the joy of owning an rv, building it better, stronger, if you can't figure some of these things out on your own you had best not own one or it will spend a lot of time in the shop.

Nice fix - just replaced my flap but if it goes again I'm going with yours.
