Look really close behind the shade near the wall there is is brown metal bracket that has a plasic clip that you can push way from that wall. you will need a flat screw driver and slide the plastic piece on both brackets . The shade should roll slightly and drop out of the clip. The valance is screwed into the bracket and should not need to be removed. Assuming its the same brackets that my 2015 RL has its not uncommon for the plastic to break. They are made by Irvine door and shade in Indiana if I recall.
