Window Shades

I have a 2013 38GK with window shade issues. does anyone know how to remove/replace the shades? looks like I need to remove the valances but don't see how to do that either. I have regular shades plus sun blocking shades on each window.

Look really close behind the shade near the wall there is is brown metal bracket that has a plasic clip that you can push way from that wall. you will need a flat screw driver and slide the plastic piece on both brackets . The shade should roll slightly and drop out of the clip. The valance is screwed into the bracket and should not need to be removed. Assuming its the same brackets that my 2015 RL has its not uncommon for the plastic to break. They are made by Irvine door and shade in Indiana if I recall.

Had one of my brackets break. Looked up the company on the internet and they show you the different brackets they use. I called them to order brackets and after a brief conversation about which bracket I Had, the lady on the other end informed me that they do not sell them retail. I was quiet for a second thinking how I would get these and she informed me she would have to send them to me free of charge. I then asked if she would send a couple extra for future replacement and she said no problem! That is what I call Customer Service!. Received the replacements within a week.

If you criss cross a couple plastic zip ties on each bracket then you'll never have an issue again.
Once the 1 set broke & they sent me a couple free & I saw what the issue was with the plastic retainer I took all the valances down & zip tied all the shades. I did however add 1 of the new brackets to the big rear window as they had only used 3 on that very heavy blind.

They are mounted to the wall or bottom of the cabinet with screws and an angle bracket

Mine the screws holding the valances were buried in the fabric on the inside of the valances, very difficult to find. The valances under cabinets had screws up into the cabinet bottom.
