Hi, we are new owners of a 36FL. Can anyone tell me the location on the roof for a Winegard dish?

Don't know about the FL, but on our RL it's mounted just in front of the rear AC.

We have one on our 36FL. As you look at the front door, it's mounted on the roof just above the right corner of the kitchen window. We haven't had any problems with it---yet.

Look on the roof for a couple of coax cables stubbed up through and sealed.

There are coaxs and a control cable taped to it on the roof. It's a round plate secured buy screws and some caulk. Cut through the caulk carefully and pull the cables up.

Ours is located on the rear of our coach ahead of the AC unit. We have a 36FL and our wingard is set up for 4 TVs and works great!! Simple to use, one button does it all for set up and storing. We have directv at home and we just take boxes with us. We do not get the local channels but you can obtain them via cable or antenna.

We are full timers with direct tv. If we are staying in one area for a time we call and have our locals changed to our current location. We usually get more channels than we can off antenna or cable, plus we can use the DVR feature. Sometimes when you call, depending how knowledgable the person is you have to explain your situation.

You can also make the change online. I'm not sure which screen. We haven't moved yet. I think it might be in the "settings" or "setup" section in the onscreen menu. Doing it this way will save needing to try to make someone understand that you're an rv'r who moves around.

At least that's the way it works for Dish. Might be worth a conversation with a tech rather than justanyone who answers the phone and get the answer once and for all!

I couldn't find a place on Direct's web to do the locals change on line so I emailed them the question. Will see what the answer is.

SueMar you cannot change your physical address on line, only your billing address. You must call and tell the person where you are physically located our they will change your billing address and you will never see a bill or TV again.

That all depends... on which technician you get. Some are better than others. Some are worthless. I always ask for Directv's RV section. Once transferred, they know what they are doing and handle changing our local channels very smoothly. I once only spent 30 seconds doing it. I use the campground address and zipcode.

This is the answer I received from Direct TV concerning changing locals.
Thank you for writing. I understand you need to change your local channels.
At this time, we do not have any option to change local channels online. We would like to speak with you so we can help you access these channels, as we are limited on what we can do via email. So please call us at 1-800-531-5000 between 8 AM to 1 AM ET.
We want to ensure your system is up and running properly. By calling the number mentioned above, we will be able to change your service address and verify if you are getting all your local channels.
Thanks again for writing, Mr. Clark. We appreciate your understanding and we look forward to your call.
Sincerely,
Shenaily N. - 100510338

Great idea to request the RV section when calling DirectTV Adamsrv. I had a little difficulty changing my address for local Direct TV channels, but finally was forwarded to a department that was able make the changes within minutes.
