Winegard interference

We have a winegard tv antenna and hotspot combination. When the hotspot is on the TV reception goes away. I know this because I scan for new channels and have excellent signal strength. When i activate the hot spot the channels on the tvs goes to crap.
Anyone else have this issue. Winegard is no help.

at least your hotspot works... I have the new connect 2.0 - 4G and could nit get it to work... Winegard had me do some troubleshooting... I needed 12V minimum going into it, I have 13.6 so they determined the unit was bad.

They sent me a new one, I ripped off the old... cleaned all the sealant... mounted the new, re sealed the area.. tested the dots in... went down turned it on... NOTHING ... I am 0 for 2... they ( Winegard ) ware telling me since the replacement acted the same as the first, AN I have proper voltage... I must have an amp problem ?????? Told me to lug a car battery to the roof, cut the wires and hook to the battery to see if that works...

Let me guess. Your trying to use the ATT sim card that was in the unit.

That sim card is not activated. I put a tmobile card in and it works like a charm. And 60.00 a month is a robbery. My tmobile sim is 20.00 with unlimited data.

I do not even get a lit LED light on the device.... I did switch the SIM with an activated SIM that I got separate from AT&T..

My TV Antenna booster works like a charm !

To confirm +12v on center conductor and -12 is on the shield at the unit. Also if you turn off both switches do acquired TV channels go away?

That tells me that the system is working. The hot spot interferes with the antenna. Do you see the winegard unit in the wireless menu once it boosts? And can you log on to 10.11.12.1?

I cannot log into 10.11.12.1.

How did you get the T-mobile sim card to work? I was unable to download the t-mobile modem software.

Did you put in the tmobile routing url in the wineguard setup. It's like flash-tmobile.com

I spent some quality time working with my Winegard this weekend. Did you try to do a factory reset on the Winegard? You can do a reset by hitting the power button on for approx. 90 sec for 3 cycles. That will reset everything to defaults. Other option is to crawl up on your roof and hit the reset button on the unit itself. Then take a look for the Winegard signal as an available wireless source, should be identified in your manual or on the unit itself.

my update

Mine is now working....

The wires must be crossed somewhere in the run as I was getting negative polarity up top..

I cut the wires, hooked the red to the black, and the black to the red... all done
