Winterizing

I winterized my 36RL today. I used about 6 gallons of anti-freeze. Does this sound about right?

The job was pretty easy.. Next time I am going to pour all of it in a 5 gallon bucket. Changing bottles is a bit of a PITA.

I use 5, closer to 4, and I have the W/D, dishwasher, ice maker, however I have a bypass valve on my water filter. I think if you pour it together you won't use as much.

I use one of those 8 gal blue water container from Walmart and it works awesome. I just started doing it that way from Vaughan's suggestion.

That is what I use in my 36RL. This includes about one gallon I pour into the fresh water tank and more for the dishwasher, ice maker and washer. Got to do that in about two weeks after this trip.

is there anything that I need to do, or any suggestions, of things to do before winter? I keep it in my driveway at home and have it plugged in to a 50 amp service.

Will need to run the furnace if temperatures fall below freezing.

Alkaline batteries don't do well and start to leak. I typically pull all of them so I don't damage electronics, plus it keeps my safety devices in fresh batteries each spring. Rechargeable batteries can't take it either, like nicad.

Do you have a residential fridge and do you have access to the back of your fridge ?

I just used 5 gallons (poured into a big bucket all at once) and poured about 3/4 gallon down the fresh tank fill and let the pump suck a bit up before switching over..
Since my trailer came winterized , AND I NEVER used the water or icemaker , the valve was still closed on the water supply line..
I left it alone until I figure out IF I need to touch it or not , I do not have access to the rear of the fridge..

I use about two gallons but do not have a W/D or dishwasher.
