Unfortunately that may have been the result of listening to owner feedback from too small of a special interest group and assuming that represented a majority of owners, as I heard that being suggested way back through the survey thing. Kind of the same outcome as the sewer boom.

That makes absolutely no sense, to take their best selling floor plan & totally redesign it to something totally different, heads should roll!

That's like taking my GMC & redesign it to Brads Ford or vice versa, totally unacceptable & sales would die.

Well now you were doing just fine until you said that!........

Honest to goodness, I know there are good changes, but the rear window got smaller, the wood on the radius went away, the shower went to white, the nice landing outside the bathroom door went away in place of a hall and a wrong door swing. I am really sad

Dory and were seriously looking at a new Montana Big Sky, and we started laughing at the RV show because half of the bathroom door was suspended over a stair with no landing, and as people mulled through about 1 person a minute would come out that door and fall. When we sat in the Redwood 36RL, that was the first thing Dory noticed - nobody falling out of the bathroom! I guess now nobody will be able to get out of the bathroom at all if someone is in the hall.

PS - sales would die on which side?? Fords with square fender holes or Chevs with upside down headlights ?

Brad , I am not sure the rear window got smaller... I just think the rear cap got larger to accommodate the straight roof line.? And that made the window look smaller /? Just a GUESS

Na, they made the rear window smaller before they ever came out with the flat roof. The change was mid 2015 model year and as usual, they depleted stock of what they had so its not consistent.

Here is a 2015
a 2015 small window
and a 2016 flat roof

The tall roof leaves even more reveal above the window, and the top rung of the ladder sets a lot lower under the roof-line than the tapered 2015.

This is the difference in landing and door for the bathroom, along with the wood radius wall that went away both from the living room and bedroom
Without the door, that really leaves a bright bare wall in the Bedroom. Kind of cheapens it to me.

2016
2014

I know change is change and everyone has personal taste that differ from mine, but its just sad to see the stuff that sold us go away.

It was a good thought! In fact when you said that I wondered exactly what did change on the back with the tall roof. The cabinets went up with the roofline revealing the top of the valances, whereas the cabinets in the back touch the valances on mine.

That is 1 UGLY plain white wall in the bedroom . .

My kids get yelled at NOW for climbing on the sofa to get the stuff from that cabinet as it is.. Can't imagine how bad it would be if they were higher ! ?
Yea , my valances also touch!

As production continues, they will probably make those cabinets taller maybe?

The new microwave/convection oven is sexy!

It comes in black as well, and looks like the vent is the same so it might be a good replacement on existing.

I like the look on the outside of the taller roof line. do I see anything that would make me want to change. Not unless they added the disk brakes, 17.5" wheels and IS as standard equipment

I guess the tall back would need to grow on me, but it sure as heck cured some of the slide awning issues! Look how much pitch can be put on those toppers now!

Boy, between the new tall roofs and 43' lengths, mine is starting to look like the runt of the litter

I did not!

When camped around a bunch of toy haulers, mine disappears these days.

I can't believe they'd be that silly. The hallway is much narrower too which wouldn't fly with us. If this is what they are going to be producing, they better get a designer that actually goes camping or uses an RV in real life.
