Don't look at other models then you'll be back to square one.lol I love ours but the one sacrifice is you walk through the bathroom to get to the bedroom there is no hallway. We had to really think hard on what we would give up and we chose to have the front living. Good luck with your choice any way you look at it you'll love it.

The 31SL is 35' and the 36RL is 39' not to much difference in length. We learned some time ago go big or go home. The height and width are the same and 4ft of living space is worth having.

The more we read the more we lean towards the 36rl or fb...I like the shorter length of the 31 for towing but I guess we are just going to have to realize that the 36 is really what will make us happy.
The rl is great because of the wider hallway , but the shower has me a bit hesitant,. the fb has the fuller shower but the middle hall......guess we have to be happy we are narrowing it down.
Sure looking forward to joining the better quality !!

I have the 36rl and at 6'2" and 240 lbs I have no problem with the shower. I would purchase the 39 MB if I was to get another. I like the extra washroom on the bottom floor and the front bathroom with the double sinks.

New 31SL
Just ordered a new 31SL. I will be towing it behind a Chevy 2500HD Duramax. I was convinced by the "Useful Load" and GVW ratings. I am ordering almost every option other than W/D and Dishwasher. It will have the Genset.
We liked the extra room in the 36 but my wife's Jewelry put it overweight

The 31SL may look good on paper for you 2500, but I bet you'll find your over once you load it. Have friends with a 31SL and they just recently upgraded to a 3500 SRW because they were over on their 2500 once loaded and ran across the scales.

We have the 31 SL and tow it behind a GMC 2500 Duramax SRW. Have traveled over 20k miles and it handles great. The RW weighs 14k lbs and the pin weight is 2900 lbs. I'm happy I did not get more truck.

We have the 2013 31SL and it has 2 windows in the back and 2 windows on the side which allow you to see some of what is behind you but I do miss a large window on the back of my fifth wheel. Unsure if I like the pop up tv in front of the window though. Our friends had SOB with the same setup and they complained that it was hard to watch the TV with the bright light coming through the window. They ended up blacking the window out so they could watch TV. Pros and cons, pros and cons, we are always looking for the perfect setup!

The day/nite shade will definitely help, and also the dark tinted windows. I will be curious to see how you like it.

by day/night, I think they are roller shades, not the typical Day/Night cellular shades that were introduced a few decades ago. The roller shades are awesome, and blackout. So dark in fact I never use them.
