Just price. They said they could meet or beat any other deal, but when it came right to it they really couldn't. It was enough of a difference that we decided it outweighed the advantage of working through a local dealer. The salesman was a nice kid, but in the end the sales manager was a turnoff for us.

Funny about those sales managers. To me they reflect what the company is really about. Our local chevy dealer turned me off on a 3500 drw diesel. I will find another!

Jay, build your GMC online at GMC.com, print it out and then call Mike at Wallingford GMC. They're hungry...

We got our 36RL from Windish, after working with Doug Richards (regional Redwood sales guy that we met at the Denver RV show last year). We ordered it because they didn't have exactly what we wanted. No issues with the process. Got it for about 38 percent below MSRP. We are about 25 minutes from Windish, so we wanted to stay local, if possible. We are currently on our first long trip, and have a list of things for Windish to fix when we get home. Guess we will see how good their service is at that point.

I also am in the market for a redwood 36rl. We looked at Lazydays and fell in love with one of the models on the lot. We do have a few questions though. We currently own a class A gas. The gas mileage driving down the road pulling a Chevy Cruise is a dismal 7.5-9 miles per gallon depending on the wind direction. A friend of mine owns a dutchman infinity and he pulls it with a 2013 Chevy 3500 dually diesel. He aslo suggested the G tires and so does goodyear. As for the hitchpin he suggested the Trail air pin box. Any other suggestions. Would love to have a Induction cooktop but they do not offer it. The trilogy has them but not redwood. The other thing I would like to see is an inverter and solar panels on the roof. What else should I look at?

Don't forget the Disc Brakes. Wouldn't have a unit with this weight without the Disc Brakes. Don't know what you friend is getting for mileage with the Dutchman, but we average 9.5 to 10.5 on mixed roads.

My friend has a Chevy dually not 4 wheel drive and he gets 13 towing his Dutchman and 17 not towing. I drove it last week when we were camping with him in Tampa. Nice ride. Its quiet and when you hit the accelerator it moves without hesitation.
