For those that have got the 7K axles and electric brakes do you have regrets of not going with the 8K and disk? I had pretty much decided to go with 8K and disk, but after seeing price I am thinking of going with the 7K and standard brakes and switching to Morryde IS with disk in a few years. Do the standard brakes do a good job, any issues as I know these are heavy units.

Many of us have the disk brake option on the 7k axles. IMO, it's better to get G-rated tires and disk brakes on 7k axles if money is tight. Remember, even though the options look high, the price is discounted by the percentage off you negotiate with the dealer at order time.

G-rated tires is an option that I will not budge on, and the 38GK we looked at has them as standard now. Hadn't thought of doing disk without the 8K axles.

We have 7K axels with G-rated tires. No problem so far.

We did the 8k and disk just because it was available. Would have did 17.5 wheels and tires as well if they were an option.

Our coach came with 7K, drum brakes and "E" rated tires. I am changing the tires to "G" and will consider going to disk brakes in a couple of years.

Travlingman, I would get the Disc from the factory, and you can then add just the Mor/ryde IS later. We have the 7K axles with Disc (we were talked out of the 8K axles by RW Customer service), and have an appointment for mid May at Mor/ryde for the IS. I already confirmed that there's no problem using our exisiting Disc (actually one of their Disc options). Already did the 17.5 wheel and tire upgrade, now to just smooth out the ride.
