Crazy Weather

WOW....what crazy weather! I just called my folks in NC and they have about 2 inches of snow with the possibility of ice coming their way. The folks in the NC area just don't have the equipment for the snow.

COME ON GLOBAL WARMING!

I am in Northern NC and it just started here. We are expecting 1 -2" here. Doesn't sound like much but these people aren't used to the cold or snow.

If it wasn't so damn cold it could be "dinner and a show"...
Environment Canada lifted our Extreme Cold Weather Alert today... only going to be minus 20 C today! Coldest February on record for Toronto.

That's pretty cold but you Canadians are used to this stuff. When I was younger we used to camp in the Rockies in the winter and thought it was fun when we got "snow bound" older and smarter now.

Dave,

I've played this game while living in our S&B home in North Georgia...isn't much fun unless you have a front row seat... off the road!!!!

Now I just touch base with friends there while sitting on the beach in south Florida...this seat is MUCH better!!!

Yep, rain, snow, cold all good,
but ICE, no thanks
DFW has been a ghost town since yesterday....

Sleet all day yesterday melted a bit from the traffic on it yesterday afternoon and so it's worse this morning since it froze last night and won't get above freezing until noon or so...

couldn't talk the wife into staying home, so told her the awd explorer sport will STILL spin out so be careful !

This weather reminds me of a song that was playing in the early 80's... The "Rodeo Song"... something about a heater in the truck and 40 below...
It's 10 deg C warmer in NWT and Yukon today than Toronto today! NOW THAT'S FUNNY!!!

Been there... did that... Norman Wells NWT and Tuktoyaktuk.

It is kind of funny that today's temperature got up to the low 30's and it seem like a heat spell.

I agree with Brad- here in Baltimore area right now it is 3 degree F and in anchorage it's 31.
Something seriously wrong with that picture.

Born & raised in New York. For me the colder & "snowier" the better.......... no weeds to pull, sweating, grass to cut, pesky knats & bugs to deal with, hot chocolate by the fireplace....... Lol

We're going to get blasted again tonight with 3-5 inches then more on Sunday and again next Tuesday. I think this year I'll wait and winterize the RV in January since winter seems to be coming later.

Got another 3-4 inches last night and the wind whistled up difts of a foot or better... they had to cancel snowmobile races in Alaska last weekend due to lack of snow... Florida may lose 2 years of citris crows due to weather... gotta love Global Warming.

Yep We're under a travel advisory right now because of the approaching weather. I don't mind traveling in it because the "beast" handles it well but Ginny gets a little nervous.
