Curious if the door used to be smaller for the water filter? I upgraded to a 3 canister system with RO in the factory location and just changed two of the filters with ease with the factory door. Mine was built just about a year ago.

Holy cow is that picture real AA?? I would LOVE to have that. I haven't seen or heard of it either but I know it's high on a lot of peoples' list for improvements to take RW to the "next level"

It's real! One of two Special Edition Redwoods that were to precede the Carriage line. This was the 36RL and don't know what happened to it.

The other was a 40K, bought by Alan and Debbie "40KB Limited" who just joined the forum a few months ago! Here are some pics of their rig:

http://www.redwoodowners.com/forums/...pecial+edition

In addition to side paint, they did a soft padded roof, and the dining table configuration that is now standard on new units:

I do not believe Redwood is doing this paint for the slides, yet.

I certainly don't want to throw water on this fire but RW, or any manufacturer for that matter, could easily add bells and whistles to their model lines' option list. It increases profit for the manufacturer. What's most difficult is increasing the level of QC. Personally, if I see RW accomplish that, I'll gladly buy another in due time, even if it doesn't have all the fantastic recommendations already mentioned. If the QC isn't there when we're ready for our next purchase, we'll be most likely moving on to another brand. The members of this forum are handing product survey results to RW on a silver platter. Companies in other markets pay big dollars to marketing firms for this kind of information. If RW doesn't use it in a constructive manner, shame on them.

I would love it if there was an option to delete the pocket bathroom door in the RL. ONE bathroom door is ample and it takes up precious wall space that could be much better used for utility storage or shelves or something in both the bedroom AND the bathroom.

T&T, I fully agree with you, and I think I suggested the same message in another post. This is a gold mine of very positive and useful information we are providing to them at no cost. Whether they use it, and how, will tell us all WE need to know about the true nature of this company.

I like the bathroom pocket door in he RL. Many times I get up before the other half and I can get my shower etc. without disturbing her. I don't think there is anything I would want in that area if it was deleted.

Ya I think the water closet, john, jim, throne, whatever you call it should always be behind a door. We had an open bathroom on our last rig which we also liked, but the throne was in its own room.

(anybody know why some people call the john a jim? so they can brag they go to the "jim" at least twice a day )

Haha! Let's be CLEAR! I WANT a wall where the pocket door is!! LOL. Just don't want two doors. I actually think it would be LESS loud to have the wall there than the pocket door :-)

That was a selling point for us. With the pocket door we can get to the bed without opening the slides.

If you didn't have the second door you could not get to the bed room unless the slide was out. I think that is one reason for the second door as to make it a pass through.

Sealing up that wall would be VERY easy to do. Only take a few beers. 2 2x2 and a sheet of paneling. On the "skill level" scale this would be a 2.

Would that be a skill level of 2 before or after the beers? I know that my skill level goes up greatly after a few beerz.

I was trying to see if that was the reason. I can't remember. I knew we went in a 38RL with the slides in and you couldn't get anywhere at all. But I do remember being able to squeeze into the bedroom. I can always just leave the door latched shut.

A your right! Didn't think of that. And I hate running that Shwintek slide if I don't have to.

Here is another suggestion for design changes, and I probably shouldn't put it up, because it's kind of a small thing. BUT! I would be really happy if the door wasn't WHITE on the inside. It actually would look much better when closed on the interior too, the walls are such a pretty color and then there's THE DOOR! Paint the door to match better, or be a little more muted:
