At least your screen door is black! The older ones were all white like the door...
Definitely agree on painting the backside of the door. Little touches like that would go a long ways.

I agree....maybe we should have a painting party at the Rally! Type of paint anyone?

Wouldn't help on mine, the screen door is also white, yours is black. Wonder when they started with black screens, everyone I've seen are white.

I believe the whole door was changed to another manufacturer. The new hinges are not even close to what mine are.

Our 2014 has black screen doors, (our build date was Nov 2103) if the door hinges changed to, did they get better or worse with the change??

I like the black screen, didn't know about the white ones! I actually really like the door, so that's good. I love the screen opener/closer. Much better than others we have owned. Todd's already thinking about painting the door. Just so... WHIIIIIITE inside the trailer :-)

The new hinges seem very stiff to me. Ours swings freely, a breeze will close it.

They definitely are very stiff. I am not sure if that's intentional or not. Our steps are very stiff too, I can barely get them deployed. I have greased them and tried everything. I just get a workout everytime I guess... ~Theresa

Yep, both our doors are very stiff, never had an RV with Entry Doors that were so stiff.
I looked at a couple of RWs at different dealers, the entry doors were stiff on them too.

I've tried everything on the steps. I've got the bottom 2 steps to open and close easily but the entire step assembly is a bear to open and close.

I got our steps to ease up - now it flops open or closed easily...
drenched EACH inside/outside/ under/over moving part with CRC lube and worked in it for 15 minutes... and works well !
Now the door IS stiff, but having had a door or two bang open in the wind, or worse yet, bang closed on the back of your ankle going up the stairs !!! OUCH, will take that stiffness any day !
But, one of the first thing we do on any new rv is put a grab bar to make it easier to open and close.

Our steps are very stiff, even after excessive amounts of lube.

Sprayed a lubricant and worked them - did it daily for about a week. Now DW can open with 1 hand.
Prior to that you needed a block & tackle to get them open.

The LADDER!!
The ladder on the RW is inadequate.
I am sure everyone will agree that it is used VERY regularly. Granted, Todd is a big guy, but he's not as big as a lot of guys. (That's my best attempt at NOT putting his weight up here!) The RW ladder sags ALARMINGLY when he goes up and it scares me. I expect it will break off at 2 years and 3 days... There is just no way this ladder is beefy enough. They can do better.
I am attaching the two photos below. ONE is from the RW, the other is from our Lance camper... which one would YOU rather climb??

BTW the Lance ladder is made by Topline Manufacturing, and yes, I am checking them out right now... We were just visiting with friends last month who were telling us about their next door neighbor in an RV park was climbing his ladder and it broke when he was near the top. Broken hip, broken pelvis, concussion...

Of all these changes and no one has said a thing about the outside tv That is located on the otherwise of the dining table. No one gets a cold draft under the table or the table is always dusty after the outside tv door has been open for a period of time. My favorite is Mosquitos in the trailer because they got in through the outside tv area. On our trailer behind the tv there are 2 huge square holes that goes directly into the trailer and the only separating that is a thin piece of paneling under the table. It would've been nice to have that insulated in and square holes covered to prevent this. I covered mine with thick foam I had laying around but it won't take the chill out by your feet in the winter
