Geometric Fabric?
Will be ordering soon 38RL. Our first Redwood. Going full time upgrading from a Montana. Love all what we see and read BUT the fabric choices. Wife voting for Putty interior but the geometric fabric might have to be redone. She is a artist/designer and says they must go. Any ideas or experiences with this.
Thx. Dan and Julie in AZ.

I am so jealous! Congratulations on that new 38RL, on my wish list
Wife hated the bedroom decor in our Godvia interior and we replaced the bedroom spread, pillows, valances with that from another interior color Redwood offered. That's always a possibility and would save doing custom work.

We purchased our unit off the lot and it had the Godiva interior and the first thing to go was the bedspread and shams. Next up was to re-upholster the valances. That did take a few days, but in the end, I like the change it brings to the interior. I'm not brave enough to re-upholster the chairs (maybe the folding ones), so I am going to make 'slipcovers' for them. I'll post pics when everything is finished.

None of the shades we encountered were attached to the valance. In our coach, the dining slide had two windows that were attached by "L" brackets. The bathroom valance was also attached by "L" brackets. The rest were screwed into the cupboards above.
The first valance I took pictures of after each step of dis-mantling, just in case. But after we seen how it was done, it was pretty simple to put it back together. I must warn you tho.... you will spend MORE time taking them apart than putting them back together. Staples. Staples. More Staples. Then MORE staples!
Once you do get the fabric off, I used those as templates to cut the new material, and we did NOT put as many staples in as was the original. I think they got paid by the staple.
The tools we used were an awl, a teeny-tiny crow bar, two different staple guns and of course the staples, scissors, a pencil and screwdriver with an extension to get to the brackets and screws. Fabric and trim I bought at a 'steal' of a price; enough I hope, to finish re-covering the dining chairs also.
I just finished up the sofa pillows today, so that will add another splash of color to the room.

I do want to mention that we did not take off the bottom fabric, just the top piece.

Great job. Looks professional
Maybe option 2 - go right over existing and use electric staple gun to apply ??
Maybe option 3 - take all and chairs to local upholstery place. $ but less hassle. Bring your own fabric ??
Julie looking at variety of "script pattern" fabric options.

Both options will work!
The only thing that made me want to tear it apart is because it is layered, and to get to the 'cording', you had to take off the paisley fabric and a shaped piece of masonite. (I did not like the color of the cording.)
